Two men have been arrested following a violent assault in the quiet Somerset village of Claverham, near Bristol. The incident left one man with life-changing injuries after he was reportedly stabbed multiple times.
The attack occurred on High Street, Claverham, North Somerset, on Thursday, July 3, at approximately 4:40 pm. Authorities responded swiftly after reports of a man seen carrying a knife.
Avon and Somerset Police arrived promptly and established a cordon, closing the main road through the village—which sits between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare—to ensure public safety.

The victim was discovered with stab-like wounds and was immediately rushed to the hospital for urgent medical treatment. Police have confirmed that while his injuries are severe and life-altering, they are not life-threatening.
A police spokesperson stated, “Two individuals, aged 37 and 25, have been arrested and are currently in custody as investigations continue.”
Road closures remain in effect at the junctions of Franklins Way and Chestnut Drive as officers conduct further inquiries.
