‘Very Dangerous’ Paedophile Sentenced to 14 Years for Child Rape

Daniel Bee, 31, a man described as “very dangerous,” has been sentenced to 14 years in prison following his conviction for the rape of a child. Bee, who has no fixed address, was found guilty by a jury on January 29 and was sentenced on March 6.

At his sentencing, His Honour Judge Climie highlighted the significant risk Bee poses to society, referring to his actions as “wholly warped.” Avon and Somerset Police echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that Bee is a serious threat to the public.

The case came to light when police discovered Bee with a teenage girl in a caravan in January 2025, after having found her in his hotel room a week earlier. The victim bravely came forward and shared her harrowing experience with the authorities.

In a powerful statement read during sentencing, the victim said, “I feel numb… it all repeats in my head and I want to move on, or at least try, but I’m always brought back to square one. I’m constantly on edge, like what if he finds me and does it again, or worse. I will never look at a man the same way again. He is a vile man. He should be locked up forever.”

Bee was sentenced to 13 years for rape, along with additional sentences including nine months for stalking, two months for dangerous driving, and one month for breaching bail conditions. His licence will also be extended by four years, and he is subject to a lifelong restraining order.

Detective Constable Kerrie Paxton praised the victim’s courage, stating, “The strength and bravery of our victim at such a young age is something to be recognised. Because of her courage in speaking out, a very dangerous individual has been removed from the community and is no longer a risk.”

The Avon and Somerset Child Protection Unit continues its dedicated work to safeguard young people and bring offenders like Bee to justice.
