The University of Bath has been recognized as the top university in the Southwest region, securing the number one spot in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025. Known for consistently holding a position in the top 10, the university has further established its standing by claiming the eighth position among all UK universities.
Acknowledging this accomplishment, Professor Phil Taylor, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bath, expressed delight at the university’s consecutive recognition in multiple major UK rankings. With a record-breaking number of applications last year, the university’s commitment to delivering excellent teaching, high-quality research, and providing a well-rounded student experience has been underscored.
In addition, the University of Bath is a runner-up for the Sports University of the Year 2025, attributed in part to the £35 million Sports Training Village, which serves as a national training center for various Olympic and Paralympic sports, and offers students free access to a majority of its facilities.
