University of Bath Climbs to 132nd in QS World University Rankings 2026

The University of Bath has achieved its highest ever position in the QS World University Rankings, climbing 18 places to 132nd globally in the 2026 edition. This impressive leap places Bath firmly within the top ten percent of universities worldwide, underscoring its expanding reputation for outstanding research and educational excellence.

Since QS began its independent rankings in 2010, this marks the best result Bath has secured, and it represents the third consecutive year that the university has featured among the top 150 institutions globally.

QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a leading provider of higher education analytics, evaluates over 8,467 institutions but ranks only 1,501 each year, including 90 from the UK. Universities are assessed across vital criteria such as research quality, graduate employability, learning experience, international engagement, and sustainability.

Expanding our global partnerships and influence allows the university to unlock new opportunities to fulfill our mission and create meaningful impact on a larger scale.

I want to thank our university community and valued partners—your dedication has been instrumental to this success.”

Bath’s 2026 ranking highlights emphasize the university’s world-class research output, the employability of its graduates, and its strong international outlook. The consistent recognition both nationally and globally affirms Bath’s continued excellence in teaching, research, student experience, and career prospects.
