Uncover Hidden Treasures at Antiques Valuation Day with Expert Appraisers

Calling all antique enthusiasts and curious collectors, your attic might just be a goldmine waiting to be unearthed. The highly anticipated Dulverton Antiques Valuation Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, where expert valuers will converge in Exmoor to evaluate jewelry, fine art, and various collectibles at the historic Dulverton Town Hall.

Following the triumph of prior events, Adam Partridge Auctioneers, a familiar face from popular TV shows like Antiques Roadshow, Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip, and Bargain Hunt, will once again collaborate with Visit Dulverton to provide informal valuations from 10.30am to 3.30pm. A small donation of £5 allows visitors to have up to three portable items appraised on a first-come, first-served basis, with no prior reservation required. Additionally, those looking to sell their items can also consider consigning them for upcoming specialized auctions.

Beyond valuations, attendees can participate in a complimentary competition to recognize unusual antiques. Three mystery objects will be on display, and participants can attempt to guess their original purpose. The winner will receive a delightful bottle of wine courtesy of Town Mills B&B.

Moreover, a selection of local businesses will be in attendance, presenting upcycled and repurposed items. Oggies Music Shop, Simple Hide Leather Goods, and Tim Venning’s ‘From Tim’s Workshop’ will exhibit and sell handcrafted goods, including musical instruments and leather bags made from old saddles. Refreshments will be available throughout the day, with an open bar for attendees to enjoy.
