Two Suffer Potentially Life-Changing Injuries in Stonehenge Crash

A serious collision between a van and a motorcycle on the A360 near Stonehenge has resulted in two people sustaining potentially life-changing injuries. The crash occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, close to the Stonehenge Visitor Centre in Wiltshire.

The motorcycle, a Harley Davidson, was ridden by a man in his 60s, with a woman in her 70s as the pillion passenger. Both were rushed to hospital following the crash. The second vehicle involved was a Volkswagen Transporter, whose driver escaped without injury.

Wiltshire Police closed the A360 in both directions—from the B3086 Airman’s Corner to the A303 Longbarrow Roundabout—to carry out investigations and clear the scene. The road was reopened several hours later, around 7:40 p.m.

The police statement confirmed: “Two people have been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a collision between a van and a motorcycle on the A360 today. The road closure was necessary to facilitate enquiries and vehicle recovery.”
