Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed the deaths of two individuals at a residence in Exmouth, Devon. Emergency services responded to a property on Briar Close at approximately 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 7, following concerns about the welfare of the occupants.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man and a woman, both in their 60s, who had sustained serious injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The two were known to each other, and their next of kin have been informed. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, but police have stated they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
Detective Inspector Neil Lloyd commented, “This is a very sad incident. We are supporting the families involved while continuing our investigation to determine what happened. A cordon remains in place at the property to allow for a thorough examination."
