Two men have been charged after police uncovered hundreds of suspected drug wraps in Weston-super-Mare.
On Wednesday, March 18, Avon and Somerset Police officers discovered around 350 wraps of what they believe to be controlled substances, along with a quantity of cash. The operation led to the arrest of Daiyaan Arif, 22, from Dudley, and Dean Harcourt, 47, from Birmingham.
Both individuals appeared before Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 19, facing two counts each of possession with intent to supply class A drugs—specifically heroin and crack cocaine—and possession of criminal property. They entered no pleas at the hearing.

The court remanded both men in custody pending their next appearance at Bristol Crown Court, scheduled for Friday, April 24.
A police spokesperson stated, “These arrests followed an incident in Weston-super-Mare where officers seized a significant quantity of suspected controlled substances. The suspects, who are from outside our force area, have been charged accordingly and remanded in prison.”
