Two people sustained injuries in a car crash on the A39 between Kilve and East Quantoxhead in Somerset on Monday, October 13. The collision involving two vehicles occurred around 12:50 pm, prompting a significant emergency response.
Emergency services attended the scene for several hours, resulting in the closure of the road until approximately 6:20 pm for investigation and clearance. An air ambulance was dispatched to transport one man to the hospital with injuries initially described as possibly serious. Police later confirmed his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. A woman involved was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police stated on Tuesday morning, “We responded to a collision on the A39 at approximately 12:50 pm on October 13. One man was taken to hospital, and a woman was assessed by paramedics on site. The road was closed during emergency operations and reopened around 6:20 pm.”
