Two individuals were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on the A36 Lower Bristol Road in Bath on November 23. Avon and Somerset Police were alerted to the incident at 1 pm and subsequently confirmed that both drivers, a man and a woman, sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. The A36 has been shut down in both directions as authorities conduct an investigation and recovery operations.
A statement from Avon and Somerset Police read: “We received reports of a two-vehicle collision on Lower Bristol Road, Bath, at 1 pm on Thursday, November 23. Both drivers, a man and a woman, have been transported to the hospital with injuries. The road is presently inaccessible as the scene is being examined and the vehicles are being retrieved.”
