Two individuals were injured in a motorcycle accident near the Somerset fire station at the junction of Butts Hill and Keyford on Saturday, February 14.
Firefighters from Frome promptly responded to the single-vehicle crash, providing first aid to the injured riders before ambulance crews arrived on the scene. The fire team also secured the area to ensure safety.
Once police officers arrived, the incident was handed over for further investigation. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the crew managed the traffic and maintained scene safety throughout their response.

Their statement read: “A crew from Frome attended a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle near the fire station, assisting two casualties. They provided first aid and managed traffic safety until ambulance arrival. The incident was then handed over to the police upon their arrival.”
