Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a skydiving accident at Dunkeswell Airfield, near Honiton, Devon, yesterday afternoon. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene shortly after the incident occurred.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that they were alerted to the accident just after 1pm and stated, “The incident is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.”
In a message to members of British Skydiving, Chief Executive Robert Gibson expressed profound condolences, saying, “On Friday 13 June 2025, British Skydiving was informed of a fatal accident involving two jumpers. Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and the entire skydiving community during this difficult time.”

British Skydiving has announced that a Board of Inquiry will conduct a thorough investigation into the accident. The resulting report, which will include findings and possible safety recommendations, will be submitted to the coroner, police, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the British Skydiving Safety & Training Committee (STC), and other relevant bodies.
