Trinity Anglican-Methodist Primary School in Portishead has received praise from Ofsted for its high standards and commitment to student well-being.
Ofsted inspectors commended the school for its strong sense of community and pupil support, noting that pupils meet high expectations and thrive in a caring environment. Pupils were described as welcoming, confident, and proud of their school, with warm and supportive relationships with adults. Behaviour and attitudes were highlighted as strengths, with pupils displaying kindness and respect, and showing increasing levels of independence.
The school’s enrichment opportunities were recognized for fostering personal development, while the prioritization of reading and a broad, well-structured curriculum were acknowledged for ensuring academic success. However, the report also pointed out the need for further challenge in certain subjects to support pupils in advancing their learning.

Trinity Anglican-Methodist Primary School’s support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, attendance initiatives, and commitment to continuous improvement through governance and leadership were also commended in the report.
Headteacher Sandy Nickells expressed her satisfaction with Ofsted’s recognition and emphasized the school’s dedication to creating an inspiring environment for its students.
