A devastating single-car crash on a narrow country lane in Devon has claimed the life of an 18-year-old young man and left two others injured. The tragic incident occurred on Pinn Lane near Otterton in the early hours of Tuesday, April 29th. The local authorities are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward to aid in the investigation.
Devon and Cornwall Police have shared that despite the efforts of paramedics, the young man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Two others involved in the collision required hospitalization, with one remaining under medical care. The road closures necessitated by the incident have since been managed by the highway authorities.
In response to this heartbreaking event, an 18-year-old from the Wadebridge area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence. Meanwhile, another 18-year-old from the Bodmin area was initially arrested but has been de-arrested due to being hospitalized.
