Tragedy: Young Boy Fatally Struck by Ford Transit Van

A heartbreaking incident occurred in Colehill, Dorset, as a young boy lost his life after being struck by a Ford Transit Van. The emergency services responded to the crash on Cutlers Place, where the collision took place between the van and the child pedestrian on Friday, April 11.

Dorset Police were alerted to the tragic event at 1.54pm. Despite the efforts of the emergency responders, the young boy was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving the police to provide support to his grieving family.

Inspector Joe Wheable, from the Roads Policing Team, expressed condolences saying, “First and foremost our thoughts and hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the young child who very sadly died in this collision. We are continuing to carry out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”

The road was temporarily closed to conduct a thorough collision investigation. Dorset Police is reaching out to the public for any information that could assist in the inquiry.
