Toby Samuel Extends Winning Streak to 15 with Second Consecutive Challenger Title

Toby Samuel continued his remarkable form on the ATP Challenger Tour by securing his second consecutive title, while teammate Esther Adeshina claimed her first professional singles crown, marking a triumphant weekend for Team Bath Tennis.

Samuel dominated the men’s singles event in Hersonissos, Greece, winning without dropping a set. He defeated Czech player Maxim Mrva 6-2, 6-3 in the final, earning his fourth Challenger trophy since November. This victory extended Samuel’s unbeaten run to an impressive 15 matches and propelled him up 26 spots in the world rankings to a new career high of 171. The rising British star benefits from the guidance of coaches Ian MacDonald and Tiarnan Brady.

Meanwhile, Esther Adeshina, a member of the University of Bath Pro Team, enjoyed a breakthrough performance on the ITF Tour in Victoriaville, Canada. She captured the W15 women’s singles title with a hard-fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win over local favorite Alexandra Vagramov in the final.

In an inspiring display of teamwork, Adeshina partnered with Vagramov to claim the doubles title as well. After dropping the first set, they rallied to defeat Canadian duo Andrea Cabio and Clemence Mercier 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 in the decisive match.
