Three outstanding pubs from Somerset have been named among the best in the UK at the esteemed National Pub & Bar Awards 2026. This annual event, celebrating its tenth year, culminates in a grand ceremony in London on June 10, where 94 winners from across the country will be honoured as the finest in their counties.
The recently published shortlist includes 252 Highly Commended pubs and bars nationwide, all invited to the National Pub and Bar Awards Grand Final. Here, the 2026 County Winners, Regional Winners, and the coveted National Pub and Bar of the Year will be announced.
Representing Somerset in the competition are The Bower Inn in Bridgwater, a charming 18th-century converted farmhouse; The Swan Inn in Rowberrow, a Grade II-listed 17th-century establishment nestled on the Mendip Hills; and the recently renovated Manor House Inn.
At the upcoming ceremony, all three pubs will receive certificates recognizing their status as Highly Commended venues in Somerset. Following this, the overall county winner will be revealed.

In addition to county honours, the night will feature the Industry’s Choice Award—voted by a panel of 400 industry experts—and the consumer-voted Pub Group of the Year and Bar Group of the Year awards. The Tyrrells Tyrrellbly Good Taste Award will also be presented, adding to the excitement of the evening.
