Three Hunt Members Charged for Illegal Hunting of Wild Mammal

Three members of a hunt have been formally charged with illegally hunting a wild mammal, following a police investigation in Somerset. Ross Cordery, 45, Wayne Greggory, 48, and James Parish, 31, face charges under the Hunting Act 2004.

The incident occurred on November 26, 2025, during a hunt organised by The Vale of Taunton and Banwell Harriers at Chilton Trinity, near Bridgwater. The Avon and Somerset Police’s Rural Crime Team led the inquiry that resulted in the charges.

Cordery, from Highbridge; Greggory, from Taunton; and Parish, from Uffculme in Devon, are scheduled to appear at Taunton Magistrates' Court on Monday, April 20.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson stated: “These charges reflect our commitment to enforcing the Hunting Act and addressing rural crime. The investigation into the planned hunt event in Chilton Trinity led to these proceedings.”
