Two individuals have been arrested after a serious assault took place in Apex Park, Burnham-on-Sea, early this morning.
Avon and Somerset Police were alerted around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27th, by the ambulance service, reporting a person with a severe wrist laceration that could result in life-changing consequences.
When officers arrived at the scene on Marine Drive, they found two additional victims with injuries. All three were promptly transported to hospital by paramedics for urgent treatment.

Following CCTV reviews and initial investigations, a 30-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Becky Wells-Cole commented, “We recognize this will be distressing for the community. However, we believe this to be an isolated incident involving individuals known to each other.”
She added, “Ongoing inquiries are underway to determine the full circumstances of the assault. Residents can expect increased police presence in and around Apex Park, as well as Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge.”
Chief Inspector Wells-Cole encouraged anyone with concerns to contact their local neighbourhood police officer for reassurance.
