Over the weekend, a large unlicensed music event, commonly referred to as a ‘rave,’ took place on Ministry of Defence (MOD) land in Pear Tree Lane, Great Cheverell, Wiltshire. Authorities were alerted shortly after midnight on November 30, responding to noise complaints and reports of the gathering.
Upon arrival, police encountered between 100 and 150 attendees, alongside a sophisticated setup that included generators, sizable speakers, and a constructed stage area. Given the location’s military status, officers coordinated closely with MOD personnel to manage the situation and minimize disturbance to the local community.
As a result of the operation, three individuals were arrested on suspicion of drug-related offenses, including drug driving. They have subsequently been released on bail pending further investigation.

Significant sound equipment and generators were confiscated during this operation, and enquiries continue.”
