ITV has announced that Josie Gibson, known for winning Big Brother in 2010 and her role on This Morning, will be hosting a new television series focused on an extensive home renovation.
The upcoming show, titled Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build, will follow the 40-year-old as she undertakes the transformation of a dilapidated Somerset property into a modern, sustainable home suitable for the 21st century.
Throughout the series, viewers will witness Josie’s dedication to environmental sustainability, as she plans to grow her own food and generate renewable energy. Innovative features such as installing an underground heat pump and setting up auto-flowing beehives highlight her commitment to preserving the natural surroundings.

Set across four acres of land, Josie aims to create a harmonious sanctuary for wildlife, including bees, birds, and badgers, while building a smallholding on the property.
The seven-episode series, produced by MGM Alternative UK and scheduled to air in 2026 on ITV1, STV, ITVX, and STV Player, will showcase Josie working alongside her brothers Josh and Charlie, local scrap metal traders, and her cousin “Builder Tom.” The show will also feature a cast of quirky local helpers eager to support Josie’s renovation journey.
Expressing her excitement, Josie said, “My dream is to build a house as eco and luxurious as possible, immersed in the sanctuary of nature. Though, the dream is slowly turning into a construction nightmare, I can’t wait to share this journey with the audience.”
The renovation will include modern luxuries like tinted windows, a spacious dressing room, and a personal fitness suite, presenting Josie with both challenges and opportunities. Along the way, she will forge new friendships with nearby residents who could become essential to realizing her ambitious vision.
