A third individual has been arrested in connection with a serious assault that occurred in Apex Park, Burnham-on-Sea, earlier this week. Emergency services responded to the park at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, following reports of an attack involving three victims.
A 25-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of wounding with intent. Two others—a 22-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man—were arrested shortly after the incident was reported. All three have since been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.
Among the victims, one remains hospitalized receiving treatment, while the other two have been discharged and are recuperating at home. Initial reports indicate that one person sustained potentially life-changing injuries during what authorities describe as an isolated event.

Police confirmed that all parties involved are believed to be acquainted, and there is no ongoing search for additional suspects. To ensure public safety, officers will maintain increased patrols in the area and encourage anyone with concerns or information to come forward.
