This May 24, Somerset will host an extraordinary showcase uniting two of the planet’s fastest machines—one slicing through the skies and the other blazing across the land. At The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare, the world’s fastest helicopter, the G-Lynx, will share the spotlight with the Vampire Jet Car, holder of a land speed record, in a thrilling event that motorsport and aviation fans won’t want to miss.
The Clevedon Cars and Copters event, a collaboration between the museum and Clevedon Cars and Coffee, promises an unforgettable day filled with speed, history, and innovation. Visitors can explore an impressive collection of vintage vehicles, cutting-edge performance cars, and rare motoring curiosities displayed throughout the museum’s exhibition hangars and the airfield’s control tower area.
Adding to the excitement, dragsters will roar along the airfield’s taxiway, providing a rare glimpse of high-powered machines in action. The atmosphere will be electric, complemented by live music performances from local band The Groove Jacks, who will entertain guests from the rooftop of the control tower.
