The 1975 Invites Fans to Share Memories for Unique Glastonbury Headline Experience

The 1975, composed of Matty Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel, is preparing for a standout headline set at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Alongside artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Neil Young, the band is creating a collaborative project that involves their fans in an unprecedented way.

In an email sent on May 27, 2025, The 1975 invited fans to contribute their favorite memories, whether it’s concert footage, photos of vinyl collections, or clips of friends enjoying their music. These submissions will be compiled into a special video to debut during their Glastonbury performance at Worthy Farm.

The band shared a clear disclaimer regarding submissions: they reserve the irrevocable right to use, edit, publish, and distribute any content provided in various formats across promotional materials, broadcasts, websites, and social media. Contributors must confirm they own the rights to their submissions and have obtained consent from any other individuals featured. No compensation or credit will be given, and The 1975 retains the discretion to decide whether to use the submitted material.

This Glastonbury appearance will be The 1975’s only live show in 2025, confirmed by their manager and Dirty Hit label head Jamie Oborne. Speaking on ‘The Money Trench’ podcast, he said, “It’s such a big gig, and it’s the only show that we’re playing this year. Matty thought doing it in isolation would be a really powerful thing, and I obviously agreed with him.”

This innovative approach reflects The 1975’s commitment to creating unique experiences that connect deeply with their audience while making their Glastonbury headline set truly special.
