An 18-year-old man tragically lost his life, and two others sustained serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Dorset on the evening of Wednesday, February 18.
Dorset Police reported receiving an emergency call at 8:42 pm about a collision involving a black Volvo V70 on Morden Road, close to Wareham. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the male passenger, aged 18, had died at the scene. His family has since been notified of the fatality.
The driver, a man in his 20s, along with another teenage male passenger, suffered serious injuries and were promptly taken to hospital for treatment. Authorities implemented road closures in the area to ensure the safety of emergency personnel while managing the crash site.

Police Sergeant Josh Alner from the Roads Policing Team expressed his condolences: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young man who sadly passed away in this collision. We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding this tragic event. We urge anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.”
