Teenager Charged Following Boxing Day Incident on A38

A 19-year-old moped rider, Oakley Coffey-Noon from Burnham-on-Sea, has been charged with several offenses following an incident on the A38 at Dunball near Bridgwater on Boxing Day.

Shortly before 4.30pm on December 26, Coffey-Noon failed to stop for a police officer while riding a moped. Avon and Somerset Police have since charged him with multiple offenses including taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop for police, driving without a valid licence, driving without insurance, and possession of a Class B drug.

Coffey-Noon has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 23.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson stated: “A 19-year-old man is due to appear in court after being charged with several driving offenses linked to the incident on the A38 at Dunball. The charges stem from failing to stop for a police officer and other related offenses.”
