Teen Brutally Attacked at Somerset Retail Park

Police are seeking witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was violently attacked at a retail park in Somerset. The victim was followed by four youths he knew, from McDonald’s to Sainsbury’s on Gravenchon Way, before being assaulted between Home Bargains and Rockhaven Business Park. The incident occurred between 7:00 pm and 7:45 pm on Friday, June 13.

The teenager suffered multiple injuries, including cuts, bruises, scratches, and a chipped tooth, necessitating hospital and dental treatment. He has since been discharged to recover at home.

Authorities describe the suspects as mid-teens. The first was seen with blonde hair, wearing black shorts and a black Adidas jacket with red stripes. The second wore yellow and green shorts with a purple vest. The third was in a black school uniform, and the fourth wore a blue hooded top and black shorts.

Avon and Somerset Police have conducted witness interviews and reviewed CCTV footage from the retail park. PC Joe Storey, handling the case, emphasized the severity of the assault and its impact on the victim and their family. He reassured the community that this appears to be an isolated incident involving known individuals, indicating no wider threat to public safety.

Police urge anyone with information about the attack to come forward by calling 101, assisting with the ongoing investigation.
