Team Bath’s Toby Samuel Breaks into Top 200 After Consecutive Titles

Toby Samuel, rising star of Team Bath Tennis, has achieved a career milestone by breaking into the world’s top 200 ATP rankings following his third ATP Challenger Tour title win in Hersonissos, Greece.

Guided by coaches Ian MacDonald and Tiernan Brady at the University of Bath, Samuel displayed outstanding form throughout the tournament, dropping just a single set in five matches. He dominated in the final rounds, crushing local favorite Stefanos Sakellaridis 6-2, 6-0 in the semi-finals, then clinching the championship with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 victory over Harry Wendelken.

This victory marked Samuel’s second consecutive week of triumph in all-British finals, having previously bested former Team Bath Tennis player Giles Hussey 6-3, 6-4 at the ITF M25 tournament in Vale do Lobo, Portugal.

With seven men’s singles titles worldwide since the start of 2025, Samuel has surged 47 places to reach a career-high ranking of 197 in the live ATP rankings, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
