WinterFest is making a festive comeback in Taunton, with the much-anticipated Christmas Lights switch-on scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025. The event, which was cancelled last year due to severe weather threats from Storm Bert, promises to bring joy and holiday spirit back to the heart of the town.
Organisers decided to halt the 2024 celebration just a day before it was set to begin, prioritising safety amid forecasts of disruptive weather. However, they are now excited to confirm that WinterFest will return stronger than ever.
Starting at 10 a.m., the event will transform Taunton town centre into a lively festive hub filled with charming stalls, engaging live entertainment, fun activities for all ages, and, of course, the stunning Christmas lights that mark the start of the holiday season.

Expect a magical atmosphere with festive stalls, entertainment, family fun, and the iconic Christmas light switch-on to brighten the winter nights.”
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars and prepare for a day full of holiday cheer. More details will be announced soon as the countdown to Christmas begins in Taunton.
