Corza Medical, a leading medical device manufacturer based in Taunton, has unveiled its remarkable transformation of a historic textile factory into a state-of-the-art biomedical facility. Once home to the renowned Pearsalls Ltd, the site has been revitalized through substantial investment in advanced machinery and infrastructure, blending rich heritage with futuristic technology.

The company recently hosted an open day for local dignitaries, education leaders, and business partners to showcase the revamped operations and outline ambitious plans for ongoing development. Attendees toured the biomedical textiles manufacturing areas, clean production zones, and the on-site museum, which preserves artefacts dating back over 150 years, reflecting the factory’s storied past.

Local MP Gideon Amos, who participated in a guided tour led by James Getty, Corza Medical’s Senior Vice President and General Manager for Biomedical Textiles, expressed admiration for the company’s growth and its deep roots in the community. “It was fascinating to learn about the historical significance of this business and see how it continues to lead in innovation today,” Amos remarked. Highlighting the importance of fostering local enterprise, he emphasized efforts to attract further investment to the region.
