Service members and their families recently gathered at The Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset, for a free community wellbeing event designed to offer support, solidarity, and opportunities for creative expression.
The annual ‘On Track’ event this year emphasized the crucial role of positive community connections in promoting mental health and overall wellbeing. Milda Siauciulyte, the museum’s events coordinator, shared, “We are proud to support the armed forces community through this dedicated event. It’s inspiring to see so many participants embracing the power of supportive communities and their positive impact on mental health.”
Held in September, the event brought together a range of charities and support organizations providing practical advice and personalized guidance. A live, audience-driven question and answer session allowed attendees to voice personal and shared concerns, fostering open dialogue.

The day featured diverse activities including a wellbeing walk, yoga sessions, and an art workshop led by artist Tilly Ingram. Guests created unique art pieces from found materials as part of Poole Lighthouse’s “Our Freedom: Then and Now” project, commemorating 80 years since the end of World War II.
