The 24-year-old Bulgarian forward has committed to a two-year contract after impressing in a successful spell with the Shrimpers. Spasov played a key role in Southend’s FA Trophy triumph last season, scoring seven goals in 25 National League appearances and helping the club reach the play-offs. His prior season at Slough Town was equally impressive, as he finished as the top scorer in the National League South, a performance that earned him a move to full-time football on the Essex coast.
