The escape occurred at approximately 5:28 pm on Thursday, April 2, when Evans fled from a privately-operated prisoner transport vehicle on Poole Road. Evans had appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court that day, charged with assault and other offenses. After being remanded in custody, he was being transported to another facility when he made his escape.
