Following his resignation from the force, PC McClements was charged with misconduct in public office and pleaded guilty on April 10. A misconduct panel convened at Dorset Police Headquarters on May 19 confirmed that his behaviour contravened multiple standards of professional conduct, including discreditable conduct, abuse of authority, and failure to show respect and courtesy.
