Firefighters from Chard, Martock, Yeovil, and Taunton fire stations arrived swiftly to find conifer trees, hedgerows, grassland, and an electricity pylon ablaze. The dry weather conditions intensified the fire’s spread, creating a challenging and dangerous environment.
