Non-residents illegally entering the building have engaged in alarming activities, including drug use, urinating and defecating in lifts, and leaving used needles in communal areas. In response to these serious issues, Bath Magistrates' Court issued a partial closure order on July 1, barring anyone who is not a resident, approved visitor, or authorized personnel from entering the building.
