The Swan Mill Group, known for its expertise in Christmas goods, has recently completed the acquisition of The Gifted Stationery Company, a Bath-based business with an annual turnover of over £5m. Established by Nigel Parr in 2007, the Gifted Stationery Company will now operate under the ownership of Swan Mill Group while maintaining its day-to-day operations with Mr. Parr at the helm. The company is renowned for its wide range of over 500 dated products, including calendars, diaries, and stationery items, which it supplies to UK retailers, charities, and international clients.
David Byk, the CEO of Swan Mill Group, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition and highlighted the potential synergies between the companies. Notably, the recent launch of the Hey Hugo children’s lifestyle range by Gifted presents a new opportunity for collaboration. With a current product range encompassing more than 1,000 SKUs, Gifted’s specialization in tailored supply and diverse offerings is expected to enhance Swan Mill Group’s overall capabilities.
This acquisition marks Swan Mill Group’s second strategic move in the past five years, following the addition of the Great British Card Company (GBCC) in 2019. Byk emphasized the distinct strengths of the newly acquired stationery offer, noting its complementarity to the existing portfolio.

Established in 1892, Swan Mill Group possesses comprehensive in-house design facilities and operates internationally, with an office in Hong Kong. The group also owns Ling Design, a greeting card company based in Bath, and Penny Kennedy, a luxury gift packaging brand acquired in 2004.
