Stranger Assault at Bridgwater Bar Leaves Man Hospitalized

Avon and Somerset Police are seeking help to identify two men linked to a serious assault at a bar in Bridgwater that left a man with significant injuries, including a spinal injury.

The incident took place around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, in a venue on St Mary’s Street. According to authorities, the victim, unknown to the attackers, suffered injuries classified as actual bodily harm (ABH), including a black eye and spinal damage. Though now discharged from the hospital, he continues to recover at home with support services offered by the police.

The force has released CCTV images of two suspects they wish to speak with as part of their ongoing investigation. The first man is described as white, with a shaved head and wearing a white polo shirt. The second man is also white with a tanned complexion, short hair shaved around the sides, and similarly dressed in a white polo shirt.
