Spooky Send-Off as Museum Ends Season with Halloween Ghost Tour

A thrilling blend of local theatre and history attracted a packed audience at Wellington Local History and Museum Society’s Halloween event, marking the close of the museum’s annual schedule.

On the evening of Saturday, November 1, the museum hosted the “Scary Tours” event, expertly organised in partnership with Somerset Youth Theatre and supported by Wellington Town Council. Young actors from the theatre group brought ghostly stories to life through captivating performances, enchanting the crowd with their talented and spirited portrayals.

Every seat was filled, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for this unique fusion of storytelling and heritage. Following the event, the museum has now closed for the winter season and is set to reopen on Thursday, March 6, 2026, after undergoing refurbishment.
