South West Teenager Isabel Wilkins: World Champion Freestyle Footballer Aiming for a Career in ‘Keepy-Uppies’

Isabel Wilkins, an 18-year-old from Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire, has become a remarkable figure in the world of freestyle football. Crowned the youngest ever world champion of ‘keepy-uppies’—the art of ball control through juggling—she has now claimed the prestigious title three times.

Isabel’s journey with the football began early, as she could control a ball shortly after learning to walk. She played as a midfielder for various local clubs in Wiltshire, showcasing her talent on the town and regional levels. However, it was during the Covid-19 lockdowns, when traditional football matches were put on hold, that she discovered her true passion for freestyle football.

Training intensively for three years, Isabel transformed her lockdown pastime into a professional pursuit. At just 15, she made history by winning the Super Ball World Open in Prague, becoming the youngest female freestyle football world champion. Since then, she has gone on to win three world championships and one UK championship.
