South West Neighbours Celebrate Record £18.3M Jackpot

This festive season, hundreds of lucky residents in South West England are set to share an extraordinary £18.3 million jackpot, making it the People’s Postcode Lottery’s biggest single prize to date.

Players living in the Tiverton postcode sector EX16 6 are celebrating a monumental win, with their winnings arriving just in time to brighten up Christmas. The prize pot will be divided among hundreds of neighbours, each receiving a cheque for at least £3,000.

The full winning postcode will be unveiled during a special Postcode Millions prize event at Tiverton’s historic Blundell’s School on Saturday, December 13. Locals will gather to discover exactly how much they’ve won, with the People’s Postcode Lottery presenters Matt Johnson, Judie McCourt, and Danyl Johnson in attendance. The event also celebrates the town’s connection to Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett from the hit quiz show, The Chase, who was born in Tiverton.

Matt Johnson expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m thrilled to be heading to Devon to celebrate the largest Postcode Lottery prize ever won. It’s going to be a fantastic day for hundreds of neighbours, and the excitement is really building. Saturday can’t come soon enough!”

The EX16 6 postcode covers areas around Tiverton town centre, Moorhayes, Cowleymoor, and People’s Park. Residents of surrounding areas like Wilcombe, Tidcombe, Broomhill, Ashley, and Braid Park are not included in this winning sector.

Beyond the jackpot, People’s Postcode Lottery players contribute to charitable causes, having raised over £1.5 billion for thousands of charities. One such beneficiary is Young Lives vs Cancer, which has received over £22 million to provide essential support to young cancer patients and their families. Locally, Action East Devon was recently awarded £50,000 thanks to players’ generosity. This valued charity supports children, young people, and families with mental health and wellbeing services across the area.

This record-breaking win not only changes lives but also reflects the lottery’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact across communities.
