Clarks Village, nestled in Somerset, has been officially recognized as the UK’s most dog-friendly shopping centre for the second consecutive year. The popular outlet earned this prestigious title at the DogFriendly Awards 2025, decided by a public vote celebrating the nation’s favourite dog-friendly venues.
The DogFriendly Awards honour businesses and locations that go above and beyond for the UK’s 12.5 million dogs and their owners, spotlighting those who provide exceptional experiences for four-legged visitors.
After a successful nomination for the second year in a row, Clarks Village maintained its distinguished ‘five paws’ rating and won the Dog-Friendly Shopping Centre Award at a ceremony held at the Kennel Club Head Office in London.

Dogs enjoy a warm welcome at Clarks Village, which features expansive outdoor spaces, wide paved walkways, and beautifully landscaped gardens. They are invited into many of the outlet’s 90+ high street and designer stores, including Rituals, Radley, Levi’s, and Tog 24.
Pet companions can stay refreshed at Le Creuset water stations, indulge in treats available in-store, and accompany their owners in various dining spots. Well-behaved dogs are greeted in The Cornish Bakery, Caffè Nero, Costa, and Bill’s – which even offers a special dog menu – as well as outdoor dining areas at Wagamama, Pret A Manger, Prezzo, and Slim Chickens.
The award was presented to Archie, a one-year-old golden miniature dachshund and the outlet’s official Canine CEO (Chief Executive Officer). Archie earned his title through a pet portrait competition held during Clarks Village’s Pawsome Pooch weekend, an annual celebration featuring free pet photo shoots, pampering sessions, dog trick displays, agility challenges, live portraits, and a pet pick n mix.
Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, said, “Being named the UK’s most dog-friendly shopping centre for the second year is a real treat. We’re thrilled that the public has recognised our efforts. Clarks Village is dedicated to making every visit memorable for every member of the family – especially our four-legged friends – and we look forward to keeping tails wagging.”
