Patients across Somerset have spoken, sharing their experiences with local GP practices in the latest national survey. Over 2.7 million people participated in this year’s GP Patient Survey, providing valuable insights into the quality of care received.
Overall, the results are positive. Three-quarters of respondents (75%) rated their GP practice experience as either “very good” or “fairly good.” In contrast, only 7% described their experience as “fairly poor,” and 5% rated it “very poor.”
Trust and care remain strong points for local GPs. An impressive 93% of patients said they have confidence and trust in their GP, while 86% felt their GP treated them with care and concern. Additionally, 87% reported that their GP listens attentively to their concerns.
