Across the South West, restaurants have showcased their exceptional talent in Asian cuisine, with multiple venues from Bristol to St Columb reaching the finals of the renowned Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards. Notably, one Somerset restaurant, Blue Mango in Taunton, has been named a finalist for Regional Takeaway of the Year.
The Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) are regarded as the most prestigious honours within the UK Asian food industry, drawing leading restaurateurs, celebrities, and politicians. This year, over 1,300 establishments were nominated by diners and food enthusiasts, making the competition fiercely competitive.
These awards celebrate the very best pan-Asian and Indian restaurants in each region and include categories such as Newcomer of the Year, Street Food Restaurant of the Year, and Asian Fusion Restaurant of the Year.

Blue Mango stands out among other finalists in the South West, which include Black Peppers in Bristol, Myra’s Korean and Japanese restaurant in Dorchester, Mela Indian Takeaway in Montpelier, Bristol, Salkaara in Bristol, Royal Jaipur in Landford, Salisbury, Chilli’s in Weymouth, and Indian Queen in St Columb.
The grand final event will take place at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Monday, October 6.
