Joseph Partridge, a talented under-16 footballer from Ilminster Town, has made an exciting transition from football to Fastpitch Softball after earning spots on both the under-16 and under-18 Great Britain squads.
Following rigorous national trials held in Cardiff last November, Partridge secured his place in the provisional squad of 24 players for each age group. These squads are gearing up for the European Championships scheduled to take place in Czechia this June.
Last weekend, Partridge further honed his skills by competing in an indoor tournament in Prague with a team composed of UK-based players. Facing stiff competition from national-level athletes, this tournament served as crucial preparation for the upcoming summer championships.

Looking ahead, the team is set to continue training and participate in additional tournaments over the coming months. These activities will take place at the National Baseball and Softball Complex in Farnham Park, Berkshire, as they strive to perform at their best on the European stage.
