Somerset Stalker Harassed Victim with Threatening Calls and Visits

A 24-year-old man from Somerset, Brandon Allen, repeatedly harassed his former partner with persistent phone calls and threatening visits, a court in Bath heard. Allen would call his victim up to ten times consecutively, even when she did not answer, and threatened to come to her home if she failed to pick up.

The victim, who had previously been in a romantic relationship with Allen, ended the relationship after noticing his increasing jealousy over a four-month period. Despite the breakup, Allen’s behavior escalated.

In October 2024, Allen showed up at the victim’s home while her daughter was present. The court was told the woman believed he was intoxicated and that he attempted to get close to her, leaving her feeling intimidated, scared, and anxious.

After blocking Allen on all social media platforms, the victim faced a barrage of phone calls. Allen’s threats to visit her if she did not respond continued, culminating in a late-night visit in which he banged on her door, questioning why she had blocked him. When he saw her new partner, he asked, “Are you seeing [name] now?” before leaving.

The ongoing distress caused the victim to request a restraining order, which the court granted. Brandon Allen was sentenced to an 18-month community order, including 80 hours of unpaid work and nine months of mental health treatment.
