Somerset bowler JT Langridge will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Gloucestershire.
The 20-year-old left-arm seamer will travel up the M5 to Nevil Road to join Gloucestershire in time for their upcoming Rothesay County Championship match against Durham later this week.
Although Langridge has yet to make his first-class debut, he has featured in 11 matches in the Metro Bank One Day Cup since his debut in 2023. During these appearances, he has taken 11 wickets at an average of 43.23, including his career-best figures of 3 for 63, which came against Gloucestershire earlier this summer.

Langridge’s loan move may also indicate that Somerset players Jake Ball and Lewis Gregory, who sustained injuries during last week’s victory over Essex, have recovered and are expected to be fit for Somerset’s forthcoming trip to Sussex.
Andy Hurry, Somerset’s Director of Cricket, commented on the loan: “This is a great opportunity for JT to gain experience of First XI red ball cricket. He has performed well for the Club in the Second XI County Championship this season, and this opportunity will enable him to further his progression within the First Class arena.
