Four talented schoolgirls from Worle School in Somerset have achieved an impressive silver medal at the Allstar World Championship in Orlando, Florida—one of the most prestigious global cheer and dance competitions.
The UK squad, consisting of eleven members, performed a dynamic hip-hop dance routine that earned them second place in a highly competitive international field. Among them were Felicity, a Year 7 student, alongside Mika, Daisy, and Ava from Year 8, proudly representing their school and country on the world stage.
Their routine, which creatively showcased the evolution of hip-hop—a cultural movement originating in 1970s America—captivated both judges and audiences with its energy and precision. The girls dedicated significant time to preparation, committing 12 hours each month to rigorous training to perfect their performance.

“When we found out we placed second, we didn’t know how to react,” the team said. “We just hugged! We were speechless, shocked, and beyond excited.”
The championship attracted elite dance teams from across the globe, but it was the UK squad’s passion and skill that truly made them stand out. Upon their return, Worle School’s headteacher, Mark Tidman, expressed his pride: “Congratulations to Felicity, Mika, Daisy, and Ava for their outstanding achievement. They have represented Worle School with incredible dedication and have inspired us all with their hard work and determination.”
The entire school community is celebrating the exceptional success of these young dancers and the UK team as a whole.
