Somerset Remembers: Honoring 39 Lives in Recent Death and Funeral Notices

Paying tribute to loved ones through public announcements is a cherished tradition in Somerset, and we are honored to be entrusted with sharing these important messages. These lasting online tributes provide families and friends with a secure space to share memories, photos, add tributes, and make donations in remembrance. Every week, we acknowledge those recently remembered in our area with funeral notices and online memorial pages.

Below is a selection of the notices shared this week:

  • Kath, aged 87, of Crewkerne, passed away on 1st November 2025. Survived by her children and grandchildren, her funeral service will be held at Yeovil Crematorium on 26th November. Donations in her memory are welcome for Friends of Mountjoy School.

  • A beloved Wells resident, aged 86, died peacefully on 30th October. Funeral service scheduled for 20th November at Mendip Crematorium, with donations accepted for chosen charities.

  • Audrey, of Street, passed at 93 on 29th October. A devoted mother and grandmother, her funeral will take place at Mendip Crematorium on 28th November. Donations are invited for Breast Cancer Now.

  • Jim, 89, from Glastonbury, died on 31st October after a long illness. His service will be held on 17th November at Mendip Crematorium with donations welcomed for the Crohn’s In Childhood Research Association.

  • Vi of Yeovil, aged 80, passed on 4th November. Funeral at Yeovil Crematorium on 28th November, with donations directed to the Royal National Lifeboat Association.
