Kayla Gibbard, a receptionist at Quantock Veterinary Hospital, has been named British Veterinary Receptionist of the Year by the British Veterinary Receptionist Association. This prestigious award recognises the dedication and exceptional service of front-of-house members within veterinary practices across the UK.
Selected from three national finalists, Kayla received the accolade for her outstanding commitment to client care and reception excellence at the Solihull branch of Quantock Veterinary Hospital. Since joining the team in 2022, she has rapidly advanced her career and was promoted earlier this year to Client Services and Reception Team Manager.
Jo Lewis, Practice Manager at Quantock Veterinary Hospital and the person who nominated Kayla, praised her invaluable contribution. “Kayla is a vital asset to our practice and an inspiring example of what a veterinary receptionist can achieve. She provides clients with a calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate presence. As a team leader, she goes above and beyond to support her colleagues, fostering a nurturing environment where everyone feels appreciated.”
Expressing her gratitude, Kayla said, “Receiving this award is an absolute honour. I was thrilled to be nominated, and winning the trophy truly feels like the icing on the cake. I’m incredibly thankful to my wonderful colleagues for their support and the heartfelt nomination video they created for me.”
